Teachers’ Day Letters

Teachers’ Day: a time for reflection, rejuvenation and rediscovery and I thought of revisiting a long-abandoned habit. Right from the advent of human thought the teachers had doubled as philosophers creating the schools of thought and methods of education to facilitate the progress of mankind. Not many nations in history have had the luxury of a Philosopher as the Head of State. As we celebrate the Teachers’ Day in India on the birthday of our philosopher President, I thought of making an attempt at reviving a lost habit: by scribbling about the relationship between a philosopher, one of the greatest of all time, and his teacher!
