A Japanese Saga [1]

August had been a hectic month on the professional front. It involved quite a lot of travel too, the first of which was the trip to Saga in Japan to participate in the 5th International Partnership Program at the Saga University. On the morning of 5th of August we arrived at the

Some one was stealing a look at us from behind the air port wall!

We arrived at Saga University Campus in tha afternoon and were provided accomoadation 

at the Hishinomi Hall.

The hall had excellent facilities save for the fact that it had no care takers! And we were on our toes since the doors were auto locking and if we left our keys inside while going out, then we might have had to sleep outside!!


At the bank Ikuo Tomohiro, Masters' student at Saga, helped us out with the foreign exchange transactions....

August 6 was open day in the campus. General public were allowed into the campus to witness the various research activites going on in the campus and see the facilities. 

The campus was full of young school children...

.....probably the future students out there to check out by themselves whether the University matches their expectations!
The roads outside the campus were narrower compared to Korean roads but had separate lanes marked out for the pedestrians and the cyclists.....

..and unlike Koreans, the Japanese seemed to prefer small cars!

Shopping for electronic items?

There can be no better place on earth, on quality as well as price!

And the sweets were colourful and delicious!
